Information about Learning to Drive?

Why you need an Approved Driving Instructor.
  • The Driving Test is at its hardest ever. According to the Driving Standards Authority Plymouth test centre had a pass rate of only 40% for 2003-2004 and the test got harder in September 2003. This years figures will be nearer 30% we believe.
  • According to the DSA the average time spent with an instructor was 45 hours PLUS 22 hours private practice. Reasons for failure tend to be observation and judgement related and the approved method is much more rigorous than most people drive.
  • Instructors ensure that the learner can be safe while learning how to behave on our extremely busy and less tolerant roads.

So why choose me rather than someone else?

I don't use you as a taxi service for the last/next learner

Two hour lessons only - maximum learning, minimum loss between lessons

My pupils pass after an average of only 38 hours, with a lowest of only 10 and a highest of 48, no-one has had more than 3 tests (and that person was very nervous) - everyone is an individual so no guarantees

I alter my teaching styles to best suit you the pupil so that you learn well. There are many ways that people learn not just one.
